As a cook, you will play a vital role in supporting our residents by:
- Preparing nutritious, high-quality meals that meet residents’ dietary needs and preferences
- Ensuring meals are served safely, on time, and at the appropriate temperature
- Creating a positive and enjoyable dining experience for residents
- Following facility menus and accommodating special dietary requirements (e.g., low-sodium, diabetic)
- Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, equipment, and dining areas
- Practicing proper food handling, storage, and disposal in accordance with health and safety guidelines
- Monitoring kitchen inventory and assisting with food and supply orders, including proper stock rotation
- Collaborating with the dietary team to support the overall health and well-being of our residents

Job Type:
Full-time and part-time
Hours:
Must be flexible to work both shifts between 6 am – 7:30 pm. The role may require working evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed to meet the dietary needs of residents.
Pay:
- Starting at $19.00/hour – $21.25/hour max based upon experience for up to 5 years
- Starting at $22.00/hour – $25.25/hour max based upon experience for 5+ years
- $500.00 Sign-on Bonus
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Proven experience as a Cook; experience in large-scale or institutional kitchens preferred
- Previous experience in an assisted living, nursing home, or healthcare setting is highly desirable
- Familiarity with preparing meals for special diets (e.g., low-sodium, diabetic, texture-modified)
- Ability to follow standardized recipes and meal plans
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment
- Capacity to work in a fast-paced kitchen, both independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- A genuine passion for serving seniors and contributing to their well-being
